At the 7th World Scientific Congress of Golf (WSCG) held in St. Andrews Christian Marquardt presented his latest research on the dreaded Yips conducted in cooperation with the Sports Department of the Technical University of Munich.

The conclusion of his studies is that Yips is most often a motor dysfunction and not a disease. It is triggered by high precision demands and performance pressure. Consequently a specific motor behaviour training is recommended which can be booked by any affected golfer in the SAM Academy in Munich.

The conference was again a great success with more than 130 participants from over 15 countries worldwide. The WSCG (www.golfscience.org) was founded 1990 by Alastair Cochran and Martin Farrally also in St. Andrews.
